For some that "something" has already came up. The European governors say that, if the people of Scotland voted for
Independence, they would have to ask for a new membership in Europe as
they would be classed as a new nation. David Cameron from the Conservative party, and all the other parties apart form the SNP, (Scottish National Party) are using this as
another thing to put people off breaking away from Great Britain, but in
fact, if the Conservatives got their way, we'd be leaving the European Union
soon anyway. Also, if Scotland is classed as a new nation, isn't that
the same with England and Wales, they will be too, a new nation, when
Scotland isn't there.
David Cameron's party, as I said before, really
want to be out of Europe. The reason? They don't want to follow Europe's
rules any more. When I first heard that, I thought, "Doesn't that mean
they should know how Scotland feels?" But no, they don't look at it
that way, even though it's exactly the same case!
I might be wrong, but I
have this feeling that Cameron is just enjoying the power over
Scotland, well, that's how it's seems anyway. I wish politicians would
just listen to each other now and then, they're usually so sure of
they're own ideas that they can't be cooperative. In this case though,
as I said before, I think Alex Salmond, (leader of SNP), is right, and shouldn't listen to
Cameron.
But what do you think? Do you think Independence is a good idea
or not? Please tell me what you think by commenting.
